Registration Opens: September 1, 2026 (Online ONLY)
Grades 3rd-12th
Fall Archery Project Meetings:
Every Monday from September 14th - November 16th
(Parent attendance is mandatory)
Session 1: 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm
Session 2: 7:00 pm - 8:00pm
Location: Gillespie County Fair Grounds
Project Fee: $75

Weekend 3D Shoots at Los Cazadores:
*MUST be shooting in fall archery project meetings to attend.
Designated weekends during the regular archery season.
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00ish
Archery Contests:
The Shooting Sports Extravaganza
If you’re new to shooting sports, this is the place to start! The Shooting Sports Extravaganza is a beginner’s match and learning event. Beginner shooters will learn the process of shooting competitively, basic knowledge of firearm and range safety, and about the shooting sports events. Ages: open to grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
Indoor Archery Match
The indoor archery match is held each year in 6 locations. Competitors will choose to compete at only one location, and scores will be ranked by all competitors at both locations. There is a “first year” class for competitors that are new to archery and new to the indoor archery match.
Texas 4-H Roundup Archery Match (Senior Members Only)
The Texas 4-H Roundup Archery Match will be held the week of State 4-H Roundup. This will be a 30 target, 3-D Match. This contest will allow a maximum of 100 archers.
Texas 4-H State Games
The Texas 4-H State Games are the largest youth shooting sports event in the nation, bringing together 4-H members from across the state to compete in disciplines such as archery, rifle, pistol, and shotgun. Youth showcase their skills in marksmanship, safety, and sportsmanship while connecting with others who share their interests. The event emphasizes personal growth, responsibility, and teamwork in a fun and challenging environment.
Fredericksburg 3D Archery Club
All ages and skill levels are welcome.
There will be a Shooter of the Year Buckle Series. you must shoot a minimum of 3 shoots AND the season finale BBQ shoot to qualify for the buckle series.

June 6th & 7th - Newman Ranch (Texas ASA Qualifier)

August 2 - Newman Ranch (BBQ shoot- extra plates $15)
All shoot entries are $25 for adults, youth 12-17 $15, Youth 9-11 $10,
Youth 8 and under Free
Competitors need to bring their equipment. If you need to borrow equipment, please contact Archery coach Austin Dreyer.

District 5 Coach Training - Livingston, TX
Registration: August 15- September 18, 2026
Information:. The District 5 Shooting Sports Coach Training will take place September 26, 2026 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
- This registration takes place through the 4-H Center Registration Site, NOT 4-H Online. However all participants at the training MUST have an active profile through 4-H Online to participate.
-Training will be a one day format
-Only one discipline certification (archery, pistol, rifle or shotgun) is obtainable per participant at this training.

District 8 Coach Training - Stephenville, TX
Registration: September 7 - September 25, 2026
Information:. The District 8 Shooting Sports Coach Training will take place October 10 & 11, 2026.
- This registration takes place Online at https://d84-h.tamu.edu/events-and-activities/shooting-sports-coaches-training/ . All participants at the training MUST have an active profile through the TX4-H Online system to participate. When registering, coach's must select "Offline Payment" option.
- Fee: $140 Per Person
-Training will be 2 days and will take place at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center in Stephenville, TX
-Disciplines in Archery, Rifle, Shotgun, Muzzle Loading and Western Heritage

Guadalupe County Coach Training - Livingston, TX

Information:. The Guadalupe County Shooting Sports Coach Training will take place October 17-18, 2026 in Seguin, TX
- This registration takes place Online at https://tx4h.tamu.edu , Cost is $130 and includes lunch and dinner on Saturday. Sign up quickly because once a discipline fills up, we can’t add anyone else to it!!! They include shotgun, rifle, pistol, muzzle loading, archery, hunting & wildlife, and Western Heritage!
