Our adult leaders are the heart of Gillespie 4-H, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to help youth grow and succeed. These dedicated volunteers serve as club officers, project leaders, mentors, and role models, sharing their time and expertise to create meaningful learning experiences. Beyond their hands-on support, the Adult Leaders organization acts as a vital support system for the entire 4-H program, investing over $50,000 annually to fund events, scholarships, educational opportunities, and resources that ensure every member can participate and thrive. Whether helping with projects, organizing events, or coaching members for competitions, adult leaders play a key role in shaping the next generation of skilled, confident, and community-minded young people.

Gillespie County Youth Livestock Show & Sale Food Vendor Application
The Gillespie County 4-H Adult Leaders are now accepting applications from qualified food vendors to operate the concession stand during the 2026 Stock Show & Sale. This is an open bidding process, with a starting bid of $1,000. The highest qualified bidder will be selected based on bid amount, proposed menu, quality, affordability, and overall suitability for the event. Vendors are encouraged to offer a simple, family-friendly menu to best serve exhibitors and attendees

2026 GCYLS Concession Stand Vendor Bid Application.pdfThe Gillespie 4-H Adult Leaders supports clubs and projects with an annual line item for the purchase of Capital Items (non-consumable) that can be used by clubs and projects to support learning and leadership experiences.
The Gillespie 4-H Adult Leaders supports Gillespie 4-H members who would like to try the ag mechanics project by providing a materials grant to support members building a picnic table. Member will build picnic table to match the current table at the office and once the member has completed show the table at county/district/major shows the table will be returned to the Gillespie County Extension Office for all to enjoy!
