GROW GREEN. GROW STRONG. IT'S A GILLESPIE 4-H GREEN OUT.
Gillespie 4-H Week is our time to shine a spotlight on the incredible youth, volunteers, and families who make 4-H thrive in our community. Throughout the week, we celebrate local achievements, share our 4-H pride, and inspire others to get involved in hands-on learning and service.
Each year in partnership with Gillespie County Commissioners Court a week is dedicated to highlighting the positive impact of 4-H in Gillespie County. Clubs host fun activities, service projects, and outreach events to show how 4-H helps youth develop leadership, responsibility, and life skills that last a lifetime.
This year’s theme — “Grow Green, Grow Strong” — reminds us that 4-H is rooted in growth, generosity, and community.

Show your 4-H spirit and creativity in our Gillespie 4-H Week Coloring Contest! Upload your finished artwork online or drop it off at the Extension Office by November 14th. The winner will receive some awesome Gillespie 4-H swag!

HAY! It's 4-H Week
Keep your eyes peeled for 4-H-themed hay bales decorated by clubs and families all around Gillespie County! When you spot one, snap a photo and mark it off on your 4-H Hay Bale Bingo card. Share your finds and vote for your favorite hay bale on social media to spread the 4-H spirit across the county. Let’s see how many you can find and which one earns the top spot!

Family Fun Night at Outdoorsy in Stonewall
Friday, Nov. 14th | 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Movie- How to Train Your Dragon- Starts @ 6:15pm
When do we get to just hang out with our Gillespie 4-H family without livestock or a meeting! We want to just hang out with YOU - this is a fun evening designed for our 4-H families to come to gather. Don’t cook dinner and join us for a fun evening at Outdoorsy in Stonewall. There will be a hot dog bar, sausage wraps for parents, s’mores bar, movie, and games for the kids. Parents can enjoy the patio and refreshments. We look forward to seeing everyone there! Kids can bring their sleeping bags and pillows to pile up for the movie.
