The Texas 4-H Foundation Opportunity Scholarship application is completed entirely online. Applicants will upload supplemental documents when completing the online application. A school official or counselor will be required to complete a portion of the online application in order for the application be considered complete. In order to qualify for a Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship, all minimum requirements must be met.
Keep in mind: You must complete your FAFSA (The Free Application for Federal Student Aid) before submitting your scholarship application at http://www.fafsa.gov/. This is required for Baccalaureate, Technical, and Courageous Heart scholarships. Please complete this before mid-December. If you wait, you may not have time to get the FAFSA paperwork submitted and receive the SAR report before the Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship application deadline. This is a required document to be attached to your application, without this you will not be able to apply.

Gillespie 4-H Adult Leaders awards up to $10,000 in scholarships to graduating Gillespie 4-H members.

The 2025 Gillespie County Extension Education Association (EEA) scholarship recognizes the achievements of high school seniors in their schools and/or communities.
Who is eligible?
• Any high school senior graduating in spring 2025 who is a legal U.S. resident and currently attends school in Gillespie County
• Current Gillespie County 4-H member
• Seniors planning to further their education at an accredited two or four-year college or university or technical school.
Deadline for Application: January 30, 2026, by 5:00pm
4-H high school seniors are encouraged to also apply for the District EEA Scholarship. Application, 4-H Record Book from previous year, official high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores, and two letters of recommendation are required.

Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Foundation
Open: October 15, 2025
This scholarship is awarded annually to deserving students pursuing an agricultural or agricultural-related degree program (Animal Science, Pre-Vet, Agribusiness, Range Management or Wildlife) from an accredited university in Texas or Oklahoma. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior. Applications are selected on the basis of their interest in the industry, leadership, academic achievement and financial need.
Deadline for Application: February 6, 2026
The State Fair of Texas awards $6,000 scholarships to selected applicants who have competed in specific competitive youth livestock events held at the State Fair. Scholarships are given to applicants who are graduating from a Texas high school and enrolling in a Texas college, university, or trade school. While preference is given to those enrolling in an agricultural-related or agricultural-benefiting natural science curriculum/major, it is not required.

The Forging Futures Education Fund is dedicated to empowering students in Gillespie County by offering grants and scholarships based on academic achievement and financial need. Forging Futures scholarships are available to students planning to attend accredited institutions that offer programs leading to a bachelor’s degree, vocational certification, or post-secondary training that prepares them for gainful employment in recognized professions
