Weekly Spotlight
This week, we are highlighting our amazing Gillespie 4-H Youth Ambassadors who volunteered at Farm Bureau Ag Day! Gillespie County Farm Bureau Ag Day is an annual hands-on educational event held at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds that teaches local fourth-grade students about the importance of farming and ranching. The program helps spark curiosity about agricultural life through direct interaction with the industry.
Students enjoy:
-Presentations on farm equipment and modern agricultural technology
-Up-close encounters with cattle, sheep, goats, horses, and bees
-Demonstrations featuring local crops like pecans and peaches
And so much more! A huge shout-out to our 4-H Ambassadors for helping provide agricultural education and inspiring the next generation of Gillespie County youth. Thank you for representing 4-H so well and making a difference in our community!
If you need a school excuse for a 4-H activity CLICK HERE to access the form.
Non-stock show 4-H school requests must be submitted at least 3-4 business days before the dates you are requesting.
Stock show excuse request deadlines are emailed to exhibitors prior to shows.
