Weekly Spotlight
This week we’re shining the spotlight on our Gillespie 4-H Dairy Judging Team!
Team members Avery Denton, Landon Denton, Macey Taylor, Ben Anderson, and Dillon Michel traveled to the Fort Worth and San Antonio stock shows to put their skills to the test and represent Gillespie County 4-H.
Through dairy judging, these young leaders learn to evaluate dairy cattle based on structure, capacity, and dairy character, with the udder being the most important trait. We’re proud of this group and all they’ve accomplished!
If you need a school excuse for a 4-H activity CLICK HERE to access the form.
Non-stock show 4-H school requests must be submitted at least 3-4 business days before the dates you are requesting.
Stock show excuse request deadlines are emailed to exhibitors prior to shows.
